1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using NoteSaarthi (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Your Account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old (younger students require parental consent).
3. Your Content & Licence
You retain ownership of the notes and content you upload. You grant NoteSaarthi a limited licence to store and process your content solely to operate the Service for you (for example, to extract text, generate answers, quizzes, formula sheets and other study aids).
You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful or infringing.
- List or sell notes you do not have the right to sell, including notes bought on NoteSaarthi (see section 6).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or misuse the Service or its AI systems.
- Resell or redistribute AI outputs or purchased notes outside the platform’s intended use.
5. Plans & Payments
- The Free plan includes limited monthly doubts and quizzes. Premium (₹299/month) includes daily fair-use limits listed on the pricing page.
- Subscriptions renew for the stated period until cancelled. Access continues until the end of a paid period.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. Payments are non-refundable, including unused parts of a paid period, except where required by law. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Notes Marketplace
6.1 For sellers
- You may list notes you wrote yourself, or notes you were given to study from — and only if you have the right to sell them. You confirm this each time you submit a listing.
- Do not sell content you do not own the rights to. Coaching handouts, printed books, publisher PDFs, test papers and other material belonging to an institute, teacher or publisher must not be sold here without their permission. If we receive a complaint and it checks out, the listing is removed and any earnings from it are withheld or reversed, including money not yet paid out to you.
- Notes bought on NoteSaarthi may never be re-listed. We detect this from our own purchase records and reject the listing — that income belongs to the student who wrote the notes.
- Where a class or coaching gave the same notes to several students, more than one of them may sell them. We group those listings together, limit how many sellers may offer the same set, and show the student who listed first ahead of the others.
- Notes a student made themselves cannot be listed by anyone else. That applies whether they are handwritten or digital/typed: if your pages match a listing of someone’s own notes, your listing is rejected.
- Listings are reviewed automatically by AI for quality and originality; low-quality or duplicate listings may be rejected or removed.
- Seller share and platform commission are shown in-product at listing time and are applied to each sale.
- If you mark where each chapter of a full-subject listing starts, students may buy those chapters individually as well as the whole set. A chapter is priced from the chapter band of the quality tier your listing earned, and you receive the same active seller share for it. Once a student has bought a chapter, its pages and name are fixed and can no longer be edited.
- Repeatedly listing content you have no right to sell may lead to your seller earnings being forfeited and your account suspended.
6.2 For buyers
- Purchased notes are provided as a read-only notebook in your account for personal study use.
- Where a listing offers individual chapters, buying a chapter gives you only that chapter’s pages — the page range is shown before you pay. Buying a chapter and buying the full notes are separate purchases; one is not credited against the other.
- Purchases are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once access is granted, except where required by law. If a listing is later removed, notes you already bought stay readable in your account.
6.3 Copyright complaints & removal
If notes of yours — or your institute’s, school’s or publisher’s material — are listed without permission, tell us through our Contact page using the “Copyright / content removal” topic, with the listing link and who you represent. We prioritise these reports, remove the content when the claim checks out, withhold the seller’s earnings from it, and act against repeat offenders. We may also remove any listing that is reported and found to violate these Terms.
7. AI Outputs Disclaimer
NoteSaarthi generates study help from your notes and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify important answers against your notes and official sources. The Service is a study aid, not a substitute for your teacher or official curriculum.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design and branding, is owned by NoteSaarthi and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or software beyond normal use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via the Data Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoteSaarthi is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
